From organic to geometric

As if drawn with a rake: The Yoku series - here in blue - surprises with a fine interplay of lines in different thicknesses and distances. © Apavisa
The annual Cevisama tile fair was held in Valencia in February. Manufacturer Apavisa was there with a number of new products that went beyond the usual natural stone imitations. The Cork floor tile, for example, features a greatly enlarged cork pattern enhanced with a subtle metallic effect. The tiles come in a standard 50 x 100 cm format and are available in beige, white and black, as well as natural brown.
The surface of Yoku, on the other hand, has an irregular pattern of lines, reminiscent of waves or the natural growth of plants. The three colours of the tiles match each other: Beige, Blue and Natural Grey. The size is also 50 x 100 cm. The Alma wall tiles, on the other hand, are only available in white. Here, different surfaces come to life: smooth, striped or with circular motifs. All surface variations measure 30 x 100 cm. JS
